"Skyline" – Kunsttrykk, open edition

"Skyline" has been jury-selected as a FINALIST for ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 8.0 — physically exhibited at SWISSARTEXPO, Zürich Hauptbahnhof — one of Europe's busiest train stations with over 450,000 visitors daily — 2–6 September 2026. 

The painting "Skyline" was born on a mountain hike in El Torcal de Antequera in Andalusia, where massive limestone formations rise like towers from the mountain plateau. I was captured by the rhythm of the stone — the stacked cylinders, the layers, the way vegetation finds its way through what seems impenetrable. Skyline is a stylized interpretation of this karst landscape, where limestone has been shaped into rising formations that resemble a built city against the sky. The blue tones are not topographically accurate; they are a dreamlike translation of the rocks, where form and rhythm of the cliffs matter more than colour fidelity. Green tendrils and grass wind through the gaps — a quiet reminder that nature always reclaims. It is a work about the memory of a place; what I first saw became what I later imagined.
